How much do you charge per square foot?
Actually, we don’t charge per square foot. Imagine a 1,000 square foot home that was completely tiled from floor to ceiling with a hand-painted mosaic imported from India. Compare that to a 1,000 square foot home that has linoleum floors and laminate countertops. Both of the homes are 1,000 square feet, but their prices will be vastly different.

When you build a Woods Builder home, your price is defined by the layout, options, and specific site requirements. You only pay for what you select. You can look at an itemized contract and know exactly where your money is going.

How long does building a home take?

That’s the key question in our industry, and the answer is not so cut and dry. Site conditions, permits, utility installations, material deliveries, weather… all these things can affect how long your project will take. It’s important to have your options & selections planned out ahead of time, so that we can adapt to the inevitable changes that happen on the job site. Fortunately, Woods Builders has over twenty years of experience, so you don’t have to worry about being left in the dark. We’ll take every step right along with you, and you can always ask us for updates and further information. It’s our goal to be as accurate & efficient as possible, to treat your home as if we are building it for ourselves.

When do we meet you and how long will the meeting take?
You are welcome to stop in whenever you prefer! We’d love to give you a tour around the showroom, so you can see all we have to offer. We can examine your favorite floorplan, and even show you some other layout options as well. Our meeting length will depend primarily on how many questions you have, and how involved you would like to be in the design process. (The average initial meeting takes about two hours, but you can take as long as you need! We’ll provide coffee and tea, and we’ll make sure our candy bowl is full too!)

During your selections meeting, you’ll be able to choose many aspects of your home, including floor coverings, trim packages, backsplashes, paint colors, cabinet styles, etc. The meeting will take as long as you need it to (average is about three hours). We want you to enjoy designing your home, so don’t worry about taking extra time to compare choices. No matter what you select, know that you’re getting the best materials on the market!

Do you build on lots or in developments?
Both! We own a number of developments, we’re preferred builders with a few other developments, and we love building on our client’s own lots. Wherever you want your home, we’re here to build it.
How much is my home going to cost?
The cost of your home will largely depend on its size, floor plan, and the selections you choose.
